Transfer of data to third parties – Personio application tool
The data transmitted as part of your application is transferred using TLS encryption and stored in a database. This database is operated by Personio GmbH, which offers human resources management and applicant management software (https://www.personio.de/impressum/). In this context, Personio is our processor in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. The basis for processing is a contract for order processing between us as the responsible body and Personio.
Rights of data subjects
If we, as the responsible body, process personal data, you, as the data subject, have certain rights under Chapter III of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), depending on the legal basis and purpose of the processing, including, in particular, the right to information (Art. 15 GDPR), the right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), the right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), the right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), the right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and the right to object (Art. 21 GDPR). Basis and purposes for processing personal data in job applications and during the application process
- If you apply to us electronically, i.e. by email or via our web form, we collect and process your personal data for the purpose of handling the application process and implementing pre-contractual measures. By submitting an application on our recruiting page, you are expressing your interest in working for us. In this context, you provide us with personal data, which we use and store exclusively for the purpose of your job search/application.
- We process the data you have sent us in connection with your application in order to assess your suitability for the position (or other open positions in our companies, if applicable) and to carry out the application process. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data in this application process is primarily Article 6(1)(b) GDPR and Section 26 BDSG. According to this, the processing of data that is necessary in connection with the decision to establish an employment relationship is permissible. If the data is required for legal purposes after the application process has been completed, data processing may be carried out on the basis of the requirements of Art. 6 GDPR, in particular for the purpose of safeguarding legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our interest then lies in asserting or defending claims.
- Applicants' data will be deleted after 6 months in the event of rejection.
- If you have consented to the further storage of your personal data, we will transfer your data to our applicant pool. The data will be deletedafter two years.
- If you are offered a position as part of the application process, the data will be transferred from the applicant data system to our personnel information system.
- Your applicant data will be reviewed by the human resources department after we receive your application. Suitable applications will then be forwarded internally to the department managers responsible for the respective open position. The next steps will then be coordinated. Within the company, only those persons who need your data for the proper execution of our application process have access to it.
- If you use our applicant tool, we use a specialized software provider for the application process. This provider acts as a service provider for us and may also obtain knowledge of your personal data in connection with the maintenance and servicing of the systems. We have concluded a so-called data processing agreement with this provider, which ensures that data processing is carried out in a permissible manner.

- If you use our online application process, the associated personal data (e.g., contact and communication data, application documents, notes made during interviews, etc.) will be collected and processed to the extent necessary to decide whether to establish an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. Your personal data will only be passed on within our company to persons involved in processing your application. If your application is successful, the data you submit will be stored in our data processing systems on the basis of Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR for the purpose of implementing the employment relationship.Otherwise, the data will be deleted by us 6 months after your application.
- If a cookie is required for data processing, it will be set in accordance with Section 25 (1) TDDDG, i.e. after you have given your consent. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To do so, simply select the “Cookie settings” link and make the appropriate settings.
